We provide the guide below to assist you and potentially answer some questions you may have about using our dogs at stud.

*** Please note - we make the effort to health test our dogs before they can be used at stud so in an effort to improve the health testing for the breed, we prefer girls to be health tested to our satisfaction - hips, elbows, patella grading and eye test before being considered for our dogs & we will require copies for our records ***

• We will provide copies of all documentation related to the dog to be used at stud, along with a selection of images to owner of the bitch and we agree for that information to be shared with future puppy owners sired by that dog.
• We guarantee 2 live puppies to 8 weeks of age from the mating - otherwise a return service will be provided to the same bitch or a different bitch - the choice is by the owner of the bitch.
• The stud certificate will not be signed to allow pups to be registered by the owner of the bitch until the stud fee is paid in full.
• A DNA sample will be provided from the stud dog if required to prove parentage - DNA testing to be at the expense of the owner of the bitch.
• A $250 non-refundable service fee MAY be required when the bitch is dropped off for mating. Any vet treatment, including progresterone testing if required (we dont do that as standard) for the bitch while in our care is at the owners expense and with the exception of emergency treatment, would be done in consultation with the owner before proceeding.
• Daily updates along with pictures from matings (if possible) will be provided to the owner of the bitch while she is with us being mated - while the costs and arrangements to get the bitch to us is at the owners expense, we will assist where possible with airport pick ups and drop offs (Canberra Airport) if required.
• For fresh or chilled semen - semen collection and transport domestically or overseas is at the expense of the owner of the bitch.
• For international semen enquiries, there may be some additional costs associated with export certification - while we are happy to do the necessary paperwork and legwork, any fees will be passed on to the owner of the bitch.

Guide to Health Testing Requirements for girls requesting to use our dogs at stud:

• AVA (or equivalent) Hip Scoring (10 total score both hips combined)
• Elbows 0/0
• Patella Grading - no greater than 1/1
• ACES (or equivalent) Eye testing - Clear

We are happy to discuss outside of these results on a case by case basis.
